General Description:
This role will assist the Executive Director of Grants Administration in researching potential funding sources, identifying grant opportunities that align with Oklahoma City Community College’s mission and/or identified needs, crafting compelling written proposals that effectively communicate objectives and strategies, and developing grant budgets in coordination with various college departments for the Executive Director’s review.

Minimum Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum of (5) years’ work experience in grant research, grant proposal development and writing, and/or grants compliance.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal, organization, leadership, and communication skills.
Word processing and microcomputer skills including ability to access, input and retrieve information from a computer for word processing, data base information, and mainframe.
Strong writing skills
Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously to meet grant submission timelines and achieve program goals
Ability to learn and use various online software programs for grant submission and management.
Excellent skills to produce professional products using Word, Excel, Teams, and other Microsoft Office products
Excellent research, analytical, and critical thinking skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in project management, time management, and multitasking to meet competing deadlines and priorities.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple complex tasks and to maintain deadlines.
Familiarity with grant management software, databases, and online resources for prospect research and grant tracking.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, both internally and externally.

Possess excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
1. GENERAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Light work: The person in this position may occasionally exert up to 20 pounds of force to grasp, lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
2. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
This position requires the person to frequently move about the office and the OCCC campus to perform the essential functions of the position.
This position requires the person to frequently remain in a standing and stationary position.
This position frequently requires the person to operate a computer and other office equipment to perform the essential functions of the position.
This position requires the person to frequently operate equipment that involves repetitive motions of hands and wrists.
This position requires the person to use upper and lower body to exert force up to 20 pounds to grasp, push, pull or lift materials or equipment.
This position requires the person to frequently position self to access materials that may be above head or at ground level.
3. VISUAL ACUITY:
This position requires the person to judge, observe and assess the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work assigned or to make general observations.
4. WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position performs the essential functions in an indoor, office setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree
Minimum of (7) years’ work experience in grant research, grant proposal development and writing, and/or grants compliance.
Previous grant management experience at an institution of higher education.

Quarterly compliance training as assigned by institution

Job Duties (Duties Assignment Statement):
Identify and share state, federal, and foundation funding opportunities that align with the mission and goals that are consistent with Oklahoma City Community College’s priorities, and competencies of the institution, its faculty and staff.
Draft complete grant proposals for the Executive Director’s review. Assist with ideation and grant development for faculty, staff and potential partners. Edit and organize grant proposals written by other staff and faculty for the Executive Director’s review.
Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the federal and private funding landscape.
Maintain current knowledge of Office of Management and Budget Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (2 CFR Part 200) and other federal and state regulations as they relate to allowable and unallowable costs and compliance.
Maintain current knowledge on all funded projects to ensure compliance with contractual agreements, internal policies and procedures, reporting purposes and satisfactory progress toward completion of grant project objectives.
Assist the Grants Administration department with the acquisition of all signatures, routing forms and approvals for grant projects.
Host periodic training, technical assistance, and grant writing organizational meetings with faculty and staff to discuss grant guidelines, generate ideas, design projects, and assist in writing various sections of the proposal.
Represent the College in the most positive manner with all constituencies we serve. Assume responsibility, deal effectively with problems, and exercise sound judgment when making decisions.
Maintain confidential data relative to grant submission and the college.
Work with appropriate College personnel to ensure regulation compliance and monitor financial records, contracts, reports, billing and audits related to grants received by the College.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive grants office calendar that includes a schedule for developing grant applications to meet all college and sponsor deadlines.
Establish and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, staff, administrators, and governmental agencies.

Adhere to established safety and health procedures and practices for the purpose of providing injury and illness prevention for self and others.
Complete quarterly health and safety training pursuant to OCCC’s established safety and health procedures and practices.
Participate in all applicable OCCC emergency, evacuation, shelter in place drills, and be prepared to take action and assist others in taking appropriate action should a health or safety emergency occur.
