Job Overview
The Compensation Manager, Insights & Analytics is responsible for a variety of duties intended to reinforce T-Mobile’s strategy to develop and maintain consistent, compliant, competitive and cost-effective compensation policies, programs and practices. Specific accountabilities may be related to market research and architecture, compensation programs, or incentive governance and operations.
This hybrid position is based in Overland Park, KS or Bellevue, WA and requires 3 days per week in office minimum.
Job Responsibilities:
Provides support on compensation program and process design, management, and analysis in a variety of ways which may include compensation plan management to include changes to base pay, and incentive compensation plan.
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of compensation trends and standard methodologies in the marketplace.
Presents to executive audiences and large groups, both in-person and virtually, and adept at answering questions in an informative capacity.
Collaborates efficiently with an open-minded approach and inclusive leadership style.
Compensation Evaluation and Analysis: Job analysis, evaluation and classification, survey participation, market pricing, policy benchmark and review, and regulatory compliance.
Communication: Provides guidance on annual compensation review & planning cycle, compensation program features, plans, and updates, education materials, training facilitation, and compensation statements.
Vendor Management: Collaborates with consultants on compensation related initiatives and reporting to include market pricing system, custom salary surveys, and other compensation analysis as necessary and or required by the business.
Incentive Compensation Execution and Governance: Analysis, ECOBs, systems requirements, legal reviews, and audits.
Data, Analytics & Dashboards: Market insights and analytics, data audits, and compensation dashboards.
Program and Document Management: Centralized repository for compensation policies, guidelines and tools, and content management platforms.
Project Management: Planning and execution of project for compensation organization.
Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
Work Experience:
4-7 years Compensation experience and knowledge desired, but not required if other HR, Operations or Finance related experience (Required)
2-4 years working with a market pricing system (Preferred)
2-4 years Experience with Workday System, specifically compensation module and report writing skills (Preferred)
2-4 years Experience crafting resources and drafting communications; with professional writing skills and experience in version control (Preferred)
2-4 years Experience identifying compensation trends, outliers, and areas for improvement, and generating reports for senior management to support decision-making (Preferred)

Washington Pay Range: $106,500 – $144,100
o The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range.
o At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance, while Retail and Business Sales roles are eligible for monthly or quarterly sales incentives.
