ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
• Leads and directs business unit accounting functions.
• Supervise AP, AR, Billing, Cash Application, Inventory, & Fixed Asset functions for business unit.
• Maintains the organization’s overall accounting systems, procedures, and policies.
• Responsible for monthly, quarterly, & annual financial reports for business unit.
• Assists in variance analysis and reporting of financial information to Financial Controller.
• Responsible for overseeing and preparing month-end journal activities for business unit.
• Review all account reconciliations to ensure compliance, includes preparation of more technical account reconciliations.
• Ensure effective treasury management including cash flow analyses and cash forecasting, as well as disbursement authorizations.
• Lead & manage annual financial audit for business unit.
• Provide management with information vital to decision-making processes.
• Evaluate and maintain accounting and internal control systems.
• Hire, train and retain skilled accounting staff.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (one or more of the following):
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business preferred
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience and 2 years of supervisory experience preferred
• Master’s Degree or CPA designation preferred
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
Directly supervises approximately 2-4 employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
