Description:
The Flagler College Department of English invites applications for an assistant professor in creative writing, beginning in the fall semester of 2024. The course load is 4/4, with primary teaching responsibilities in creative nonfiction writing (introductory and advanced), first-year composition, and courses that contribute to the College’s new General Education program, with its emphasis on diversity and inclusivity. Additional desired teaching specialties may include fiction and/or poetry writing, publishing, professional writing, or special topics. Preferred candidates will have a significant record of publication. An MFA or PhD is required. Future promotion in rank based upon review and evaluation of the successful candidate’s teaching, professional development, and service in accordance with the College’s guidelines.
