Applicants sought for full time, research faculty positions in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical
Center. Candidates should have a record of publishing impactful original research in the field of musculoskeletal health and a desire for a
research-focused academic career. Those with post-doctoral experience and a high potential for extramural funding will be considered for the
position of Assistant Professor. More experienced applicants with a demonstrated record of maintaining extramural funding will be considered
for rank of Associate Professor or Professor.
The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery maintains a strong commitment to innovative and
collaborative musculoskeletal research, which promotes health worldwide. As a part of a highly productive, highly supportive
interdisciplinary team of researchers, these research positions will be expected to contribute to the academic mission of the Department,
which includes educational research programming for residents, fellows, and junior clinical faculty. Candidates should hold a doctoral
degree and have demonstrated expertise in rehabilitation science, epidemiology or a related field.
