Advertised Job Summary:
Program Coordinator will assist the Principal Investigator and research team in therecruitment of participants, conduct of participant interviews, data entry into the REDCapStudy database and perform daily supportive administrative tasks for a research study funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) National Institutes of Nursing Research (NINR) that seeks to improve current and future chronic illness management among adult African American COVID-19 survivors and their caregivers in medical underserved and rural areas of South Carolina.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and 1 or more years of experience, which may be substituted by equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Valid Driver’s license.
(This position may require irregular evening/weekend work hours and local travel)
Preferred Qualifications:
Research study experience such as study coordination or other research team experience such as data analysis, administering surveys, etc. databases/assisting with reports, and grant implementation.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Word-Excel-PowerPoint-Outlook. Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills to be able to interact with all levels of personnel in an academic and community setting. Ability to multi-task a variety of functions. Organized and self-motivated.
Must obtain University of Miami (UM) CITI and GCP course certification within 14 days of employment.

Contributes to the development, dissemination, and implementation of the study recruitment plan, documents participant contact and outcomes in the REDCap study database and refers interested and potentially eligible participants to the Study Coordinator.
