The Maritime Department at the Australian University
(AU) invites applications for faculty positions at the level of Trainer with a wealth of experience in Nautical Science. Successful
candidates shall have a demonstrated ability in training and assessment in Nautical Science subjects.

To this end, AU seeks experienced faculty members that
are keen to be part of this dynamic institution that matches the above-mentioned positions to join the Maritime Department,
commencing August 18th, 2024. As per current needs, priority will be given to candidates with expertise as Master
on oceangoing vessels. Relevant certificates must have been issued by an acceptable maritime administration.

students’ enrolment.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
• Holder of an STCW II/2 Master Mariner (Unlimited) Certificate of Competency.
• Preference will be given to candidates holding a relevant academic qualification.
• Have experience and be able to demonstrate excellence in training and assessment.
• Training and assessment qualifications appropriate to the position.
• Be willing and able to engage in curriculum development.
• Have excellent written
and oral communication skills in the English Language; and
• The ability to communicate effectively
with diverse stakeholders.
