This person will coordinate the utilization of the simulation lab facilities, equipment, and resources with faculty for students. Facilitate student learning activities through multimedia resources as well as other laboratory resources.

Qualifications
Education:
-Current, unencumbered Pennsylvania RN license. (Minimum)
-Master’s Degree in Nursing (Desired) OR, Bachelors Degree in Nursing and enrollment in an approved program of study leading to a Master’s Degree in Nursing to be completed within 5 years of hire. (Minimum)
Experience:
-Two (2) years work experience as a Registered Nurse to include appropriate clinical experience. (Minimum)
-Two (2) years work experience in a College academic environment to include simulation experience. (Desired)

Responsibilities
-Develop and coordinate simulation experiences in conjunction with faculty.

-In collaboration with faculty, evaluate student performance of skills demonstrations. (Essential)
-Maintain accurate attendance and lab simulation records for all students assigned to the Simulation Learning Lab. (Essential)
-Assist students with the operation of nursing laboratory equipment. (Essential)
-In conjunction with faculty and the Assistant Dean of Nursing, develop/revise as needed, implement, and administer laboratory rules and regulations. (Essential)
-In conjunction with faculty develop/revise as-needed, and implement simulation scenarios in various specialties based on evidence-based practice for the novice to advanced student. (Essential)
-Prepare laboratory for demonstrations and student simulations. (Essential)
-Maintain an adequate inventory of state-of-the-art supplies and equipment, monitor usage. (Essential)
-Maintain simulation equipment and coordinate with company representatives as needed. (Essential)
-Provide education to faculty/staff on use of simulation as needed. (Essential)
-Perform minor laboratory equipment maintenance and repair. (Essential)
-Monitor student practice/progress of self-directed laboratory experiments/procedures. (Essential)
-Attend departmental, accreditation/standard and school meetings as necessary. (Essential)
-Assist nursing students with remediation plans as identified and requested by faculty or other Nursing staff. (Essential)
-Assist students in applying learned scientific nursing principles to appropriate clinical simulations. (Essential)
-Provide advising responsibilities, not to exceed 35 students. (Essential)
-In collaboration with faculty facilitate skills demonstrations and simulations in the learning laboratory. (Essential)
-Assist students and faculty with the use of multimedia equipment, which includes state-of-the-art computer technology. (Essential)
-In collaboration with faculty, develop and update clinical simulations for teaching,
practice, and evaluations. (Essential)
-Assist with student recruitment activities including attendance at Fall and Spring Open House. (Essential)
-Participate in new student orientation. (Essential)
-Serve on department/school and College-wide committees as necessary or requested. (Marginal)
-May teach up to six (6) credits or eight (8) contact hours or equivalent classroom courses per semester in consultation with and approval of the immediate supervisor. (Essential)
-Assist faculty as needed and as requested with dosage calculation, remediation, and retesting. (Marginal)
-Perform general housekeeping to keep equipment and facilities clean and orderly. (Marginal)
-Provide telephone coverage for the Lab. (Marginal)
-Coordinate laboratory equipment and space utilization with faculty. (Marginal)
-Coordinate adequate professional coverage for student laboratory experiences. (Marginal)
-Contribute and assist with departmental assessment, program review, and the accreditation process. (Essential)
-Maintain an up-to-date filing system of student records and retrieve as requested by the Assistant Dean of Nursing & Health Sciences/faculty. (Essential)

Pay TransparencyBased on minimum education and experience qualifications the 182-day salary range is $46,000 – $54,000.College Statement
