Position Description
The multimedia
specialist designs content for media platforms in a manner that is clear, engaging, and meaningful to news consumers. The position promotes
a favorable and consistent image of the department and the university for internal and external audiences.
Major/Essential
Functions
The Multimedia Specialist will be an independent storyteller responsible for developing stylized video content for Texas
Tech University media and social media platforms. This position will be part of finding and selecting story ideas that highlight our Texas
Tech campus community. In this effort, this position will engage in developing and producing original content to be distributed in
large-scale promotional and marketing projects. This position will operate lighting, camera and audio equipment in the field during
production, and be responsible for directing subjects as needed during shoots. The Multimedia Specialist’s post-production responsibilities
include editing, color grading and sound design in the Adobe suite. In this position its important that the incumbent communicate well as
work closely with other functional teams within OCM and across Texas Tech University.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in
a related field plus one (1) year related experience; OR a combination of related education and/or experience to equal five (5)
years.
