Hiring/Budgeted Hourly Range: The budgeted salary range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $41.26/hr. – $45.54/hr.
Full Salary Range: The full salary range for this position is $41.26/hr. – $51.29/hr. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience; the budget for the position; and the application of fair, equitable, and consistent pay practices at the University.

Student Health is a full service on campus primary healthcare facility for UCSB students. We see students on both appointment and walk-in basis. Our auxiliary services include on-site laboratory, pharmacy, x-ray and a physical therapy center. Our specialty services include psychiatry, social work, gynecology, and sports medicine. An extensive alcohol and drug program complements other behavioral health services.

Brief Summary of Job Duties
Using digital x-ray equipment, performs radiology exams on patients that are primarily referred by Student Health clinicians. Must have knowledge of a variety of procedures and must comply with California radiation safety guidelines. Accountable for the technical aspect of imaging; ensures daily maintenance of equipment, rooms and supplies. Required to chart in the electronic medical records system. As a senior technologist, also responsible for assigning work flow, student staff, long term maintenance of equipment as well as recommendations for new equipment, documents and reports as requested.
Required Qualifications
* Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology.
* Valid certificate in diagnostic radiologic technology issued by the California State Department of Health.
* California Radiology Technologist of Fluoroscopy (CRT-F)
* Minimum of 18 months of experience in radiologic technology; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Conditions of Employment
* Student Health requires that clinical staff must successfully complete and pass the background check and credentialing process before employment and date of hire.
* Mandated reporting requirements of Child Abuse
* Mandated reporting requirement of Dependent Adult Abuse
* To comply with Santa Barbara County Public Health Department Health Officer Order, this position must provide evidence of annual influenza vaccination, or wear a surgical mask while working in patient care areas during the influenza season.
* This is a 12-month career position at 50% time. Days and hours may vary and equate to 16 hours per week.
* Any HIPAA and/or FERPA violation is subject to disciplinary action.
* Student Health is closed between the Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays.
Job Functions and Percentages of Time:
Clinical 80%
* Takes X-Rays of patients who are referred by Student Health clinicians.
* Has working knowledge of all radiological procedures performed at Student Health and executes any other type of procedure as requested by the clinician.
* Provides radiation protection for all patients and executes radiation safety guidelines.
* Relates well to patients and provides clear, courteous instructions and information.
* Responsible for the technical aspect in producing an image and knowledge of the modalities of CR and PACS systems that provides the final quality image.
* Ensures that X-Ray equipment, CR and PACS systems are properly warmed up in the morning and turned off at close of business.
* Completes routine daily maintenance check of all x-ray equipment and maintains supplies needed in both examining rooms.
Administrative Duties 20%
* Accountable for all patient information entered into the electronic medical records system which includes exams, billing, scheduling, radiology reports and appointments.
* Must follow all confidentiality procedures and policies.
* Is knowledgeable of Student Health policies and procedures in order to accurately inform patients.
