The Opportunity: Beacon College is seeking qualified candidates with demonstrated academic skills to join an outstanding team of faculty and staff to provide high quality programs and services for our collegians. This position is full-time, ten-month position – with compensation distributed, if desired, over a twelve-month period. Position: English Faculty (Instructor or Assistant Professor)
Rank and Salary: A full-time, teaching load of 5/5; Rank and salary commensurate with experience
Start Date: August 2024
Qualifications: Master’s degree in English, or a related field with 18 hours in English required; a PhD is preferred. The department seeks a faculty with experience teaching first-year Composition courses, Rhetoric and Literature courses. Dedicated hands-on instructor who is willing to work one-on-one and in group classroom setting needed. High patience level required.
Experience working with students with learning disabilities and ADHD preferred.
Responsibilities: Conducting classes and facilitating student engagement. Collaborating with colleagues to enhance curriculum and teaching methods. Engaging in professional development activities to stay updated with the latest educational practices. Contributing to the college by actively participating in college service activities. Determining and assessing student learning outcomes.
