Position Description:
Under direction from the Business Office Manager, serve as a Business Office Contracts and Grants (C&G) Processor for the Department of Education in the School of Education and Information Studies (SE&IS). The C&G Processor is required to provide proactive, high-quality, flexible, and reliable assistance as a member of the SE&IS Business Office unit. Responsibilities include serving as the faculty’s main point of contact for Contract and Grants related processing and reimbursement requests; providing support to the Ed&IS Contract & Grants Managers with various tasks such as financial management; budgeting and accounting support management (accounts payable transactions such as purchases and reimbursements, accounts receivables, etc.); facilitating departmental purchasing needs; supporting efforts in financial journals and ledger reconciliation and audits, ad-hoc reporting, and a variety of other general administrative duties. Incumbent will work in collaboration with Education’s Administrative Assistant Unit to create a streamlined processing and reimbursement system within the Department of Education across units.
This position requires a high level of organization, coordination, and attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly across a variety of platforms and within a diverse community.
This position offers the opportunity of a hybrid schedule that includes remote work some days of the week with the rest of the workweek held on UCLA campus, contingent upon the department’s need.

The budgeted hiring/target salary range for this position is between $28.23 per hour to $30.25 per hour, with salary placement based on skills, knowledge, and experience.
