The Senior Accountant is jointly responsible for financial and accounting activities within a McLane Company, Inc. grocery division. They also have frontline supervisory and leadership responsibilities for the division’s non-exempt accounting team. We are seeking trustworthy candidates who can work efficiently without sacrificing accuracy. This position will manage accounting tasks, create journal entries, gather, track, analyze and present accounting information as needed. Manage CIP asset projects as requested. Detailed reports are required for account recons and a good audit trail and ensure that confidential information is secure for bank deposits. Manage the Supplier set in Oracle Expense Payable and additional tasks that are assigned. You can expect to work with large amounts of numerical data, handle multiple tasks, deadlines, and provide reports to divisional and management personnel. A firm understanding of Accounts Payable practices and regulations for supplier setup is necessary, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills. Applicants should have a firm grasp of Excel and Microsoft products.
