Job Description:
Budget Title: Staff Assistant (SL-2)
Salary: $47,261 – $56,000
Reporting to the Associate Director of Auxiliary Services, the Binghamton University Campus Food Pantry and BU Acres Coordinator will oversee the day-to-day functions of the campus food pantries and the campus farm. The dual role involves fostering partnerships with university and community-based organizations to address food security while also growing food using ecological practices at the farm.
The Coordinator will help to develop a range of services for students in collaboration with campus partners such as the CARE Team, Residential Life, Off-Campus Programs and Services, Binghamton University Dining Services, Development and Alumni Relations, and external community organizations. BU Acres serves an educational purpose, providing students with opportunities for research, agriculture, and environmental engagement. The Coordinator is responsible for increasing awareness of BU Acres through student outreach and campus events.
Excellent organizational, administrative, communication, leadership, decision-making and customer service skills are essential, as well as the ability to work individually and in a team setting. The ability to effectively supervise and motivate staff is required.
