Responsible for teaching microeconomics courses at North High School, Davenport, IA and
assessing learning outcomes in area of instruction. Must demonstrate excellence in teaching and service, and a commitment to the mission and
values of the community college.

There are three courses at Davenport North High School on Monday – Friday, 1/16/24 – 3/27/24
10:30AM
– 11:50AM
11:55AM – 2:00PM
2:05PM – 3:30PM
Minimum Qualifications:
The
minimum requirement is a master’s in Economics or Econometrics or any master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in Economics,
Econometrics, Business, Business Administration, and/or Finance with 6 of the graduate hours being from Economics and/or Econometrics.
MUST send official transcripts upon being hired. FERPA training and a background check are required.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
Teach courses in accordance with outcomes identified in the established
course development model.
Meet promptly with scheduled classes.
Assure that student outcomes are achieved in the course.
Evaluate and record student performance and achievement on a regular basis and provide regular student feedback.
Develop and
administer assessment instruments to validate student outcome achievement.
Maintain accurate attendance, progress and grade records
of all students.
Effectively plan and implement learning strategies appropriate for meeting student outcomes.
Analyze results
of planning and teaching and make appropriate revisions.
Maintain currency of professional skills to continually enhance
instructional skills.
Commitment to providing quality service that meets or exceeds the expectations of students and
internal/external stakeholders.Collaborate in the development and revision of curriculum as needed.
Teaching assignments may include
varying delivery formats and methods.
Complete other job duties unique to your area as assigned by the academic dean.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The teacher must see and hear on a continuous basis as well as speak frequently.
Positions may vary from standing, sitting, or walking. Use of computer.
Salary $700 per credit hour, EICC retirees
