The Associate Director of Advancement Communications reports to the Director of Annual Giving in the Office of Advancement. The position’s primary responsibilities are to create and execute measurably successful marketing and communication strategies that enhance engagement and fundraising efforts and reinforce the brand of Illinois Wesleyan University. Responsibilities:
Conceive and implement creative communications to increase engagement among constituents; write content for digital and print platforms to highlight donor impact, annual giving appeals, stewardship communications, and capital campaign materials; ensure Office of Advancement marketing materials across all channels (digital and print) are current, engaging, and relevant; create and execute an ongoing social media strategy to engage constituents
Analyze data to develop communication best practices and message platforms; use metrics to segment audiences, track results, and optimize future efforts; document best practices and communicate learnings across departments; collaborate with Marketing and Communication Department for integrated and brand-consistent messaging; research best practices for donor re-engagement and acquisition, and present creative and cost-effective ideas to grow annual giving revenue and participation
Participate in departmental events and activities to support overall Office of Advancement goals; attend Office of Advancement events, as needed; execute additional responsibilities in efforts to grow annual giving programs
Requirements:
Minimum of five years professional experience; two years be in higher education or non-profit fundraising preferred
Occasional evening and weekend events. Minimal travel, as needed.

Salary $49-$52k, based on experience
