Advertised Job Summary:
Serve as the building coordinator and administrative scheduler for the Department of Anthropology. Assist the chair and faculty with departmental administration. Respond to public and professional inquiries regarding the Department of Anthropology. Manage office supply inventory and order supplies as needed. Serve as assistant to the undergraduate and graduate directors and coordinate advisement. Assist with course scheduling which includes entering course schedules online as needed and arranging rooms. Hire, train, and supervise work study students.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma and 1 or more years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of work experience that is directly related to the area of employment, or high school diploma and 8 years work experience that is directly related to the area of employment; or equivalency.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Competence in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, document scanning, and web page design.
Qualifications – dependable, efficient, accurate, and able to work independently; ability to relate to diverse faculty and student population, and to deal courteously and effectively with constituents and the public.
Job Duty:
Serve as building coordinator and administrative scheduler for Gambrell Hall. Act as the first point of contact between occupants, service providers, and emergency contacts. Assist department chair and faculty in normal day-to-day operation of the department; prepare, process and copy documents and forms; maintain department calendar; answer phones and questions by students and the public; manage the inventory of office supplies and order supplies as needed.

Assists undergraduate director and the courses and curriculum committee in making programmatic changes and ensuring that everything is up-to-date in the bulletin.
