To plan, organize, and implement strategic programs for student success in equity, access, persistence, and engagement.
Job Description:
This is primarily a remote-based position.
Description of Duties and Tasks
Virtually supports strategic student program initiatives and projects designed to promote student success district-wide.
Supports students in one-on-one virtual appointments to navigate through the online registration and tuition payment steps to register for classes
Refers students to appropriate resources (i.e., tutoring, advising, counseling, Student Life, Library Services, etc.).
Updates and maintains appropriate records and databases, follow-up systems for prospective, current, and former students. Works to encourage student retention and persistence.
May coordinate, evaluate, develop, and implement specialized materials to support registration and scholarship services.
Supports students in one-on-one virtual appointments to walk through the online ACC Scholarship Application step by step to submit a quality application.
Assists with student outreach and engagement efforts as assigned. Contacts students by phone, text, and email in support of outreach and retention efforts. Tracks and maintains student contact logs.
Participates in district-wide online events supporting student enrollment, registration, and college resource awareness.
Creates, coordinates, and delivers workshops, presentations, and specialized materials aimed at informing students about the ACCelerators, ACC student resources, and services for student success.
Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with other Austin Community College (ACC) departments, faculty, staff, students, visitors, and campus groups.
Position requires working remotely, in a virtual environment, and may require campus-based attendance for events or presentations.
May travel within the ACC serving district for meetings, events, training, and campus coverage as needed.

Work is performed in a standard office environment remotely.
Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
Occasional lifting of objects up to 30 pounds.
