ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Staff Accountant
Responsible for daily office tasks, such as filing, data entry, answering phones, processing mail, etc.
Relationship management and development of internal and external stakeholders
Support various processes such as processing transactions, issuing checks, and updating ledgers, budgets, etc.
Collaborate internally to finalize financial reports and assist with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies
Provide support to the Accounting Department as needed and specifically with invoice reconciliation and identifying discrepancies.
Create and update expense reports and process reimbursement forms
Prepare bank deposits and enter financial transactions through an internal database
Maintain efficient and effective financial records through workflow and process to check spreadsheets for accuracy and report discrepancies
Preserve digital and physical financial records
AP (loads invoices for approval, submits batches)
Guest inquiries / billing
Group billing (not a big group hotel)
Cashier (audits banks 2x month, prepared for armored car pickup)
entering actuals into our sales system when a group departs
Required Skills/Qualifications
2+ years’ experience in an Accounting or Accounting related position
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance fields
Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
Familiarity with finance regulations
MS Excel and accounting software experience
Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
Strong communication and people skills
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements
Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.
Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours.
Fast paced movements are required to go from one part of the club to others.
Must be able to move, pull, carry, or lift at least 20 pounds.
Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb as required.
Grooming
All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per The Source Hotel standards.
Other
Bilingual or multilingual ability is helpful.
