JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Penn State Sokolov-Miller Family Financial and Life Skills Center is hiring Financial Literacy Ambassadors at the University Park campus for the spring 2024 semester. Our mission is to provide students with knowledge and skills to manage financial resources effectively for a lifetime of financial wellbeing. This position will focus on giving presentations and peer mentoring on a one-on-one basis with the goal of increasing financial literacy among the student population. Other responsibilities will include completing a comprehensive training plan and outreach within the student body including content creation for social media. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to obtain professional certification as a peer mentor.
If you are an undergraduate student and can commit to consistently working 10 to 20 hours per week and desire a part-time position, then you are encouraged to apply to become a Financial Literacy Ambassador. Individuals with diverse backgrounds from a variety of majors are encouraged to apply. This individual will be trained, supervised, and supported by the Penn State Sokolov-Miller Family Financial and Life Skills Center staff at University Park.
