Clemson University’s Development Marketing Team is looking for a Development Communications Coordinator to fulfill the following duties:
JOB DUTIES:
45% – Essential – Communications and Marketing:
Collaborates with Clemson Advancement team members to build relationships and produce communications and marketing materials to support fundraising that are highly targeted, creative, well designed, appropriate and motivational to the target audience. Researches, plans, scripts, interviews, writes, edits, schedules and delivers the creation of digital and printed materials in support of the fundraising efforts. This includes publications, presentations, emails, ads, profiles, stories, online messages, social media messaging, presentations, events and numerous other materials for individual University units, project needs and University wide priorities. Successfully debriefs projects using team input, audience feedback and data after they go to market.
40% – Essential – Project Management:
Sets up and sends mass emails using email software and fundraising database. Learn and navigate new project management systems. Ability to organize and prioritize work. Communicates schedules and cost estimates to clients and solicits their approvals while collaborating with team members to ensure that projects are delivered correctly, on time and in keeping with University and divisions brand guidelines and goals. Provides support for University marketing and communications team members as needed.
10% – Essential – Departmental Support:
Adheres to departmental project management, quality control and brand standards. Actively supports Advancement Marketing, Communications and Events team members with additional project needs. Provides support and maintenance of development toolkit. Brings an optimistic, can-do approach to all assigned marketing and communications projects, tasks and responsibilities.
5% – Essential – Content Development and Management:
Supports with developing and managing content for the giving website, collaborating on its organization and content.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education – Bachelor’s Degree
Work Experience – Professional Experience related to the development and dissemination of Informational Material.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Work Experience – 3+ Years Experience in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, Writing, or Creative Writing preferred. Position requires strong writing skills and basic design knowledge working in Microsoft Office and templates within Adobe Creative Suite. Position also requires presenting, email communication and interviewing of constituents.

Expected salary range: $ 45,530.00 – $55,000.00.
