Position Summary:
Western Oregon University invites applications for a full-time tenure track
Assistant/Associate Professor position in our Gerontology: Aging and Older Adulthood Department. We are seeking applicants with a background
in gerontology or aging studies to contribute to the growth of our program, which has major, minor, and
certificate options and strong alignment with the Academy for Gerontology in Higher Education competencies for undergraduate education. The
successful applicant would contribute to an applied program that has a strong bio-psycho-social core, interdisciplinary perspectives, an
intersectional approach to understanding aging and older adulthood, and a commitment to equity and inclusion.
