About Westchester Community College:
Westchester Community College was founded in 1946 as the New York State Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences in White Plains. In 1957, the County of Westchester bought the 360-acre John Hartford estate in Valhalla and designated 218 acres for the community college. Job Description:
Reporting to the Assistant Vice President and Dean (Enrollment Management), the Registrar is responsible for planning, directing and monitoring all aspects of student registration and recordkeeping for students at SUNY Westchester Community College. Responsibilities include ensuring that registration policies and procedures are properly designed and implemented to best serve the needs of students, faculty and administrators, and to ensure that methods are accurate, efficient and preserve the integrity of information. The Registrar will also direct the activities of the Registrar’s Office including the hiring and training of new staff members, and assigning personnel to assigned areas.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate must possess one of the following:
Experience in an enrollment-related area at the managerial level or above is also required. The successful candidate must also be an experienced leader with excellent management and communication skills and a record of increasing responsibility in a Registrar’s office or related enrollment services area. Evidence of team building experience, the highest ethical standards, and knowledge of best practices regarding student record standards are required. Knowledge and commitment to the goals and mission of the community college and evidence of responsiveness to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students required, as these factors relate to the need for equity-minded practice within the classroom. The demonstrated ability to interact with a diverse staff is also required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of and direct experience with a student information system. PeopleSoft, is preferred, as is the ability to speak and understand a language other than English. An understanding of, and demonstrated interest in the field, including the evolving nature of the role of the Registrar as it relates to student success.

POSITION EFFECTIVE: The position will remain open until filled.
SALARY & BENEFITS: The starting salary is $98,184. Additional compensation with seniority steps maximize at a salary of $151,578. Benefits include comprehensive health coverage, a choice of defined benefit or defined contribution pension plan, generous leave benefits, and access to tax sheltered annuities and a deferred compensation plan.
