The PACK Center at Colorado State University Pueblo is dedicated to the University’s Vision and to providing accurate, responsive,
and respectful service to students that fosters increased matriculation, retention, and student persistence to graduation.
The main
function of the PACK Center is to ensure that students receive a positive and holistic experience during their academic career with regard
to advising, policies, coursework, career exploration, and extracurricular activities. The department seeks to provide students with a
smooth transition into higher education via personal and regular contact so that they do well academically and socially and stay enrolled at
CSU Pueblo.
This position coordinates retention, outreach, and support activities with the
purpose of increasing the matriculation, retention, and persistence of students who’s GPA has fallen below a 2.0. The Retention and
Persistence Coordinator contributes to the coordinating, developing, and monitoring of progress of at-risk students with the goal of helping
them return to good academic standing.
This position is funded by two renewable Title V La Gente and La Calle Department of Education
grants. Continuation of the position is contingent on renewal of funding and University fiscal sustainability.
