The Department of Dermatology is seeking a professional, detail-oriented Accountant II who possesses strong problem solving and communication skills to interact with faculty and staff at all levels. We are offering an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual who enjoys working as part of the team in a culture of collegiality.
The qualified candidate will be responsible for managing unrestricted and restricted funds to include: completing and entering budgets, monitoring and monthly reconciliation of indexes, preparing and updating monthly projection reports and other financial reports. Reviewing and approving financial transactions such as PCard reconciliations, reimbursements, requisitions and journal
vouchers.
Process financial transactions such as labor redistributions, journal vouchers, coordination and preparation of regularly scheduled and special billings. Prepare and process mid-year projections, annual budgets and end of year reconciliation. Provide guidance and support to faculty and staff for accounting related issues and UNM policies and procedures.
Bachelor’s degree and successful completion of at least 12 credit hours of university-level accounting through intermediate accounting; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
