Position Summary:
The Coordinator of Events and Family Engagement assists the university in meeting its
recruitment and enrollment objectives through the development and implementation of strategies that market, engage, and promote recruitment
and enrollment efforts. The Coordinator will provide data required for management decisions, follow up with students via electronic
communication, extract data, provide statistical reports, update website content, and train admissions staff. The Coordinator supports the
student recruitment effort as needed and performs other activities as assigned by the Director of Admissions.
Essential
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the overall coordination of all recruitment events including the management
of the finances, hospitality, marketing, and itinerary for each event.
Through the leadership of the Director of Admissions, host
successful year-round information sessions, open houses, tours and class visits, and other admissions events.
Create and implement
outreach, awareness, engagement, and educational opportunities within social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to
support targeted markets.
Develop and administer a parent/family engagement communication plan for parents and families of
prospective students.
Optimize customer relationship marketing and event registration systems. Perform post-campaign and/or event
communication analysis to identify trends, best practices, and feasibility for future projects/events.
Serve as a contributing staff
member in a team-centric and collaborative environment, functioning capably in a dynamic, fast-paced office.
Keep abreast of current
events as they pertain to students and their families and represent Arkansas Tech University on various campus committees as assigned by the
supervisor, recruitment events, and other activities sponsored by the University.
Assist with day-to-day recruitment operations
including but not limited to answering
emails/calls from students, parents, and families, and administrative responsibilities.
Managing office operations to ensure correct and timely data entry for purposes of reporting and evaluation and will mine, audit, and
analyze data (including Google Analytics} to positively influence recruitment strategies.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, parents,
faculty, and staff from a broad range of programs and disciplines.
Proficiency in the use of technology and the willingness to learn
the campus computer software for student information and other administrative systems.
Recruiting experience at a regional public
university.
Experience with Ellucian Banner (or other SIS/ERP/CRM platforms)
Demonstrated project oversight and database
experience (such as Banner, Xtender, Argos). Advanced word processing, office applications, scheduling/organizing, and presentation skills
are required. Intermediate or above knowledge of spreadsheets and databases is required.
Ability to collect and analyze data,
problem-solve, and recommend initiatives based on findings; willing to research and apply appropriate technology to reach pre-determined
goals.
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills; as well as, customer service skills.

Work Location, Environment, and Physical Demands:
The position will work primarily from the
main campus in Russellville, AR, but occasional travel may be required for recruitment events or professional development activities.
The employee should be able to stand for long periods of time and lift boxes of recruitment materials (“’50 pounds).
