SDAC is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as an Administrative Assistant. This position performs advanced confidential administrative duties. Responsibilities include screening phone calls, emails, and visitors to resolve inquiries; scheduling appointments and meetings and assisting with daily exam proctoring services for students with disabilities. This position will be expected to maintain records and scan documentation regularly into the database management system. This position will keep track of staff schedules, schedule meetings, and reserve meeting space. Excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well in a team environment are essential to this position.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: At least one year of relevant experience such as office/administrative experience providing reception, filing, answering phones, material tracking and correspondence gathering and creation. Working experience in higher education (2-3 years is strongly desired) and experience working with persons with disabilities is highly preferred.
The successful candidate will pass a background check and health/drug screen. The anticipated hiring range for this position is $18-20/hour. This is a full-time, overtime eligible position with UVa benefits. Employees benefits package highlights include:

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
