Your mission: Maintain security
setup for all PeopleSoft Systems (HRs, Finance, Student Administration), and assist in performing quality assurance testing for software
systems and training initiatives in the Applications Development Department.
A typical day: Throughout the day, you’ll respond to
routine questions, phone calls and user requests for applications systems support assistance. You’ll assist Sr. Business Analysts with
comparative analyses, and maintain PeopleSoft reporting structures. Providing technical and functional training, and participating in QA
testing will also be typical activities for you.

Job Summary
The Business Analyst I is
responsible for maintaining security setup for all Information Management Systems (Talent Engagement, Finance, and Student Services).
Responds to routine questions, phone calls and user requests for applications systems support assistance. Assists in performing quality
assurance testing for software systems and training initiatives in Applications Development Department.
Essential
Functions
Serve as first line of customer service for all Applications Development users.
Assist in providing and
developing continuous best practices for customer service.
Assist Senior Business Analysts in performing comparative analysis of
assigned function current procedures and information management systems best practices.
Provide assistance in resolving user-reported
problems or requests for assistance for all Applications Development modules – exhibiting outstanding customer service.
Assist in
maintaining information management system reporting structures for chart field accounts, departments, funds and programs.
Participate
in quality assurance testing during the implementation of patches, fixes, modifications and upgrades of all Application Development
projects.
Assist in technical and functional training.
Constructs process and procedure documentation via development of
user-friendly step-by-step instructions.
Handles sensitive information in a professional and confidential manner.
Assist in
reviews of HCCS business processes and offer recommendations for improvement.
Perform other duties, tasks and assignments as
required.
* Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Human Resources,
Business, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science,
Information
Management or a relevant field
Education & Experience
* 4 years directly-related work
experience may be substituted in lieu of degree* 3 years’ experience in the user of personal computers (including client-servers/Web)
for business applications including 1 year Customer Service/User Support related assistance required* Experience in higher education
institution or community college environment, facilitating training classes and utilization of UPK software, content management system or
HCC experience preferred* 2 years information management system, functional and/or technical experience preferred
