Kapur, a Consulting Civil Engineering Firm, has an immediate opening for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to serve in a position based in our Milwaukee, Wisconsin Corporate office. This position is responsible for assisting the Human Resources Manager with the daily tasks and duties of the department and is intended to provide the training and experience to prepare this individual to assume a future leadership role.
This is an opportunity to train with and learn from the current Manager and benefit from having a mentor on site to guide you in understanding how to support the Kapur organization.
Due to the collaborative nature of this position and the Engineering field in general, this role is based full time in the Kapur Corporate office, located in Glendale, WI. This is not a remote or work-from-home position. “We Are Better Together”

This is not a remote or work-from-home opportunity. The expectation is to be in the corporate office on a full time basis.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 8+ years of Human Resources related experience (REQUIRED)
* This is not an entry level position. Prior experience is required.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* General knowledge of employment laws and practices
* Experience in administration of employee benefits
* Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point.
* Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees and with vendors
* Must maintain a high level of confidentiality
* Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationship and a positive work environment
* Experience with: the hiring process; oversight of company policy; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
* Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks concurrently
* Enthusiastic and intuitive interpersonal skills
* Effective time management and problem-solving skills
* Prompt and dependable attendance, organized, team player
