The Division of Infectious Diseases in the Department of Pediatrics at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital/Stanford University School of Medicine is recruiting an academic pediatric infectious diseases faculty member as a Clinical Assistant/ Clinical Associate/ Clinical Professor in the Clinician Educator line. The major criterion for appointment as Clinician Educators is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.
Academic rank and line will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
We are accepting applicants who completed their residency in an ACGME approved school. The appointment is 100% (full time) and will include inpatient and ambulatory infectious diseases consultations at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital and participating regional hospitals.
Candidates will be expected to participate in clinical care, teaching of medical students, residents and fellows, and research or other scholarly activities of the Department of Pediatrics and serve on certain departmental committees. The candidates will be expected to provide clinical service at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford (LPCH) and participating regional hospitals. Successful candidates will be dedicated to administrative duties around Medical Education. The role would include being the Director of Resident Infectious Diseases Education as well as leading the education curriculum for the Infectious Diseases fellows.

The expected base pay range for this position is:
Clinical Assistant Professor Rank: $198,000 – $216,000
Clinical Associate Professor Rank: $233,000 – $251,000
Clinical Professor Rank: $271,000-$301,000
This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. It may not include all components of faculty compensation or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs. Stanford University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position.
