Job Title:Research Associate
Department:Arts and Sciences | Arabidopsis Biological Resource Center
The Research Associate will perform quality control analysis on plant material and plasmids for an international resource center, the Arabidopsis Biological Resource Center using techniques such as DNA extraction, PCR, restriction digest and sequence analysis. Additional duties involve amplification, storage, and distribution of seed and DNA plasmids as well as data analysis and preparation of materials for reports and presentations. Maintenance of laboratory safety records and digital documentation of quality control and distribution data is also necessary.
Minimum Education Required
Bachelor’s degree in the biological sciences or equivalent experience is required
Required Qualifications
One year of laboratory experience and record-keeping is required.
Desired Qualifications
Experience in plant science and molecular biology, including PCR based genotyping, is desired.

The pay range for this job profile is $42,700 – $56,900. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit’s available budget, and the candidate’s qualifications.
