JOB SUMMARY:
Work schedule will vary according to practice and event schedules. These can change depending on availability of facilities and weather changes. Athletic events will take place after business hours, on weekends, and on holidays.
ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS:
Infectious disease, heat, contact with participants such as on thesidelines of a meet and/or practice.
Possibility of hot, cold or rainy conditions during athletic events. Noise canalso be a factor during athletic events.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

-Be innovative Education & Experience Position Qualifications: REQUIRED:
-National and international travel is required.
-Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, Healthcare Administration, Health/Physical Education, Sports Medicine/Kinesiology, Athletic Training, Physical Therapy or related field of study.
-Certified by the National Athletic Trainers’ Board of Certification and/or American Physical Therapy Association
-Prior to hire: Licensed by the state of Oklahoma as a Certified Athletic Trainer
-Valid Driver’s License
-Experience with aquatic rehabilitation
-Experience with ManualTherapy Techniques
SKILLS, PROFICIENCES AND KNOWLEDGE:
-Strong analytical, written and verbal communication and interpersonalskills combined with the ability to interact with diverse department,University and community constituencies
-Ability to direct and perform confidential detailed work with accuracy underdeadline pressure
-Extensive knowledge of OSHA guidelines and universal precautions.
-Extensive amount of time standing per day and a willingness to work extendedhours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
-Must be able to deal with heat and changing weather precautions and ability todirect personnel in case of severe weather
-Ability to manage and direct multiple personnel and tasks at one time
-Experience and knowledge of organizing strength programs, especially forinjured student athletes
-Working knowledge of basic word processing, spreadsheet, and database function
PREFERRED:
-Master’s degree in Exercise Science, Healthcare Administration, Health/Physical Education,Sports Medicine/Kinesiology, Athletic Training, Physical Therapy or related field of study.
-Post Graduate Athletic Training Experience
-At least 2 years of Athletic Training Experience.
-Experience working with Athletic Trainer/Physical Therapist
-Certification by NASM as PES/or CES.,PT
