Allegheny College, a selective national liberal arts college, invites applications for the position of Building Coordinator. The position is a full-time non-exempt position reporting to the Senior Associate Provost with day-to-day management by department chairs. This position will support the academic departments of Psychology, Neuroscience, and Community & Justice Studies in Carnegie Hall.
The Building Coordinator is responsible for the following functions: administrative, office, and operational support for academic departments and their building. Responsibilities include routine office functions, scheduling meetings, coordinating events, making travel arrangements, administering payment requests and tracking budgets, record-keeping, basic website updates, serving as point of contact for maintenance and upkeep of facilities, and supervising student assistants.
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma, 1-3 years of office support/secretarial experience, proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, email, and videoconferencing, and excellent organizational, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills. Successful candidates will demonstrate strength in the above qualifications plus strengths in the ability to foster an inclusive and welcoming work environment, ability to learn new software and job processes, ability to balance multiple tasks, and experience with budgets, websites, and social media.
