Job Description:
The School of Professional Studies (SPS) at Clark University invites applications for an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Master of Science in Computer Science (MSCS) program. This is a full time non-tenure line indefinitely renewable position based upon satisfactory performance.
The successful candidate will share a deep commitment to effective instruction at the graduate level; development of innovative courses; teaching students from diverse cultures and academic backgrounds; collaborating with faculty; and engaging in departmental and professional services. The program provides students with the theories, concepts and foundational methods of computer science, artificial intelligence, and human-computer interaction to prepare them to solve real-world problems in the industry.
The teaching load for computer science teaching faculty is 3-3 including credit for laboratories.

The Teaching Statement should describe the philosophy of teaching, teaching experience, course topics able to teach, and teaching methods employed. Candidates must submit a teaching sample, broadly defined as an artifact from a course taught. This may include course material such as lecture material, class exercises, syllabus, etc. Candidates may optionally include teaching evaluations.
The DEI Statement should describe how you address issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion and challenges faced by historically underrepresented groups based on race/ethnicity, women, veterans, people with disabilities, or other groups that have been historically excluded from higher education. In a one-page statement (12-point font), please offer your thoughts on how you would address these issues in your future role as a faculty member at Clark. The references must be individuals who can speak specifically to your teaching experience and ability or potential for teaching. Additional information pertinent to the position, such as service and diversity, is welcome.
