Centralia College is located on a 30-acre campus in the heart of Centralia, Washington and has been serving students in the Lewis County region since 1925. As a comprehensive community college, Centralia College offers academic transfer and workforce programs, as well as adult basic education, ELL, and personal enrichment classes. The college also offers four Bachelor of Applied Science degrees: Information Technology – Application Development, Diesel Technology, Applied Management (Business), and Teacher Education.
In addition to the main campus in Centralia, Centralia College East in Morton is a smaller site that serves the needs of students in east Lewis County. Since the college is committed to the success of all students, Centralia College also provides educational programs at two corrections centers in southwest Washington – Garrett Heyns Education Center located in Shelton, Washington and Cedar Creek Corrections Center located in Littlerock, Washington. In total, the college serves more than 7,000 students annually. Job Description
As the Early Learning Program’s Program Coordinator (PC), you will be responsible for recruiting, selecting, and enrolling children and their families who are eligible for the Early Childhood Education Assistance Program (ECEAP). You will work collaboratively to provide comprehensive services to each child and family. Through education and support, the PC will help families learn how to access and advocate for needed family services.
As a PC for the Early Learning Programs you will work in partnership with teachers to encourage and plan for families to advocate for and participate in their child’s education. You will also work together with families in an effort to support them in recognizing and building upon family strengths and improving the conditions and quality of their family’s life. In this position, you will be a part of a dynamic team in supporting Centralia College’s student families, as well as community families, in gaining access to education and services.

Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
High school graduation AND two years’ experience in providing social services related to child abuse and neglect, child guidance, parenting education and family dynamics to low income or other at-risk families; OR equivalent education/experience.
And including the equivalent of 30 college credits of adult education, human development, human services, family support, social work, early childhood education, child development, psychology, or another field directly related to their job responsibilities. OR be willing to be on a Professional Development Plan to fully obtain the education qualifications of their role.

Conditions of Employment There is one 40 hours per week, 10 month cyclic position. Continuance of this position is dependent upon grant funding.Classified employees are represented by the Washington Federation of State Employees (WFSE).
