Position Summary

This position reports to the Vice President, University Advancement and is accountable to develop and
coordinate a systematic special events program which assists the fund-raising efforts of Bryant University by creating and strengthening
relationships with prospective and current donors.
Special Events: The Director devises and executes a wide range of
engagement, cultivation, recognition and special events for the Development Office and VIP events for the President, Vice President for
University Advancement, and campaign volunteers, on and off campus. The Director works within established timeframes and budgets, engaging
consultants, vendors, Development staff and other Bryant representatives to participate in the development and execution of these events.
S/he works in concert with the Vice President for University Advancement, the AVP of Development, the Executive Director of Alumni and
Parent Engagement, the Senior Director, Advancement Communications, and the President’s Office representatives, as well as representatives
from other Bryant departments as needed, to devise, plan and execute assigned events.

Qualifications
This position is best served by an individual with an undergraduate degree, who demonstrates
experience in development, especially in the areas of managing donor recognition programs and producing special events for higher education
or non-profit entities. Strong organizational skills and attentiveness to detail are imperative to coordinate events/meetings, coordinate
volunteers, and provide the administrative support for special events and donor programs. Excellent interpersonal skills are important in
order to effectively represent the University to individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds. Evening and weekend hours will be required
from time to time contingent on events scheduling. Travel is required. Data base management experience and computer skills are preferred.
