Position
Summary: Perform structured research-related work assignments. Identifies problems and relevant issues in straightforward situations,
assesses potential responses using standard procedures, and makes sound decisions accordingly. Works as a member of a research team.
Receives instruction, guidance and direction from PI and others.
Job Duties:
(25%) Conduct field sampling of urban
soils across the Minneapolis-St Paul metropolitan area and in out-state Minnesota.
(20%) Prepare soil samples for analysis by
proximal soil sensors (pXRF and MIR).
(15%) Conduct routine laboratory maintenance (protocol updates, equipment maintenance,
etc)
(15%) Conduct chemical and physical analyses of soil samples to include laser particle size analysis, and chemical
characterization.
(25%) Work closely with community research partners in Minneapolis-St Paul to fulfill on-site research
needs.
