Summary of Position
Responsible for the delivery of facilities operations at Temple University Center City. Performs assigned duties under general supervision. Inspects facilities and equipment to determine the need and extent of service, equipment required, and type and number of operation and maintenance personnel needed, directs contracted projects to verify adherence to specifications and completes all required administrative duties, such as written documentation, supply ordering and inventories, etc. Prioritizes and completes own work within established priorities. Requires advanced knowledge and experience in a specific area or discipline.
Interacts with others inside and outside the University to exchange information necessary to complete assignments. Resolves moderately complex issues within standard policies and procedures. Demonstrates work processes and procedures to others. May assign work assignments to others establishing priorities and directing work. Participates in hiring, firing, and selection of candidates, as requested. Oversees the daily housekeeping tasks sheets, which require updating, posting, and collecting documentation weekly to ensure proper procedures are followed. Ongoing building maintenance includes painting, small repairs, and installing and recalibrating water bottle filler filters on each floor. Audits work order requests assigned to the building to ensure completion and proper billing. Responsible for regular publishing of campus schedules on digital display boards. Provide special event support to the Assistant Director of Academic and Student Services including setups and table staffing support. Make schedule or room changes in R25 and the DestinyOne systems when necessary. Functions as a key customer service contact with direct faculty, students, and staff connections. Performs other duties as assigned

Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of directly related experience in facilities management. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Skills & Abilities:
– Excellent communication skills
– Ability to solve complex issues
– Supervisory experience
– Hiring experience
– Experience with building maintenance including painting, small repairs, and setup, installation.
– Customer service skills
