Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
Key Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned:
* Develop ways to increase productivity, maximize efficiency, and manage both capital and human resources more effectively.
* Develop and maintain manufacturing simulation models for various programs and processes.
* Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, staff requirements, and production standards.
* Develop tools for visual management and production control to improve the flow of information, processes, and materials.
* Lead and participates in improvement initiatives – drives improvement.
* Create management control and automated reporting systems and databases to monitor manufacturing performance.
* Design layout of equipment and resource locations.
* Data mining and analysis, database and visual basic programming, and creation of automated MS Excel spreadsheets.
* Perform capacity analysis.
* Provide technical floor support and leadership for manufacturing operations.
* Creation and revision of Work Instructions and shop floor Routers.
* Development and revision of Bills of Material.
* Provide cause and correction action as well as dispositions for non-conformances.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Working knowledge of mechanical engineering concepts, principles, and theories
* Good ability to grasp and apply new information quickly
* Good ability to handle ever increasing responsibility and assignments with growing complexity
* Shows initiative on assignments, and professionally executes projects with little direction
* Good ability to be a team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success, meeting
and exceeding personal and team commitments
* Ability to be creative, innovative, and responsible, and able to master good decision-making
* Ability to learn and apply company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
* Good written and verbal communications skills
* Good ability to recognize and clearly report relevant information
* Proficient with CAD tools to create mechanical models and accompanying drawings
Target salary range: USD $72,200.00/Yr. – USD $80,200.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary.
