Clinical Simulation Lab Equipment Technician

Posting Summary:
Provide technical and operational support for all healthcare simulation operations, including scenario setup/take down as well as preparation, maintenance and repair of manikins, task trainers, and related multimedia peripherals.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience):
Associate’s degree in a related field and one-three years related experience or equivalent combination of education an experience required. Effective communication and interpersonal skills required. Experience with MS Office Suite and ability to learn software programs to operate manikins and to record simulations. Ability to be flexible and adaptable in dynamic environment and work schedule required. Ability to lift 10-32 lbs and maneuver 47lbs of force and/or steer equipment through hallways and around corners. Initial employment contingent upon successful completion of physical screening.
Desirable Qualifications:
Experience in a hospital or outpatient or prehospital care health care facility desirable. Familiarity with clinical procedures is desirable.
Other Information:
Scheduling flexibility needed between 6:00 am – 9:00 pm, Monday through Friday.Occasional weekend work required. Background check required.

Occasional overtime/weekend hours required, Weekend work required, Non-standard work hours required, Bargaining unit position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, This position is ineligible for telework due to the essential functions, Background Check required for this position, A post-offer pre-employment (POPE test) physical examination is required
