Organizational Unit Overview:
The Department of Family Medicine is one of eleven clinical departments at the Brody School of Medicine. The purpose of the department is to improve the health of the people of eastern North Carolina through leadership in Family Medicine education, research and health care services. The department provides accessible, high quality health care for its patients. The Department of Family Medicine consists of seven divisions, as well as a central administration office. Each division has a responsibility that supports the overall mission of the department. The divisions include educational development, research, medical student education, residency, geriatrics, clinical services, and sports medicine. Clinical activities take place in the Family Medicine Center, Robert and Frances Monk Geriatric Center, Firetower Medical Office, nursing homes, Vidant Medical Center and in the community.
Job Duties :
The Department of Family Medicine is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide ambulatory care. This position functions in the Family Medicine Center to manage comprehensive nursing care for patients whose needs range from uncomplicated to complex and rapidly changing.
*Consideration will be given to an appointment at .80 FTE or 1.00 FTE. If the selected candidate is hired at .80 FTE, the salary and benefits offered will be reduced to reflect a part-time appointment.

The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University is affiliated with ECU Health Medical Center, which serves as its teaching hospital, as well as the flagship hospital for ECU Health.
Minimum Education/Experience:
Graduation from state-accredited school of professional nursing and licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
License or Certification required by statute or regulation:
Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education:
One year experience as a registered nurse.
License or Certification required by the Department:
Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
