Position Summary:
Interwoven is a community mental health center located on the flagship campus of The Chicago School in The Merchandise Mart. Interwoven provides a broad array of psychological services to the general community while also serving as a training center for psychology and counseling students and as a robust learning center for faculty and students from The Chicago School’s various academic departments. Interwoven is also home to the highly regarded Forensic Center which has long served as the practice arm of Forensic Psychology Department. The Forensic Center provides psychological evaluations, parenting capacity evaluations, family therapy, therapeutic supervised visitation/reunification therapy, co-parenting therapy, and individual therapy, among other services, to referrals from the domestic relations court. The Forensic Center is also the leading Illinois provider of outpatient fitness restoration services for persons deemed incompetent to stand trial.
The Lead Counselor reports to the Clinical Director and serves as a lead clinician and clinical supervisor. The role encompasses membership on a team of three to five clinical supervisors who oversee the training for a cohort of eight to ten practicum trainees and interns. The Lead Counselor will supervise two masters-level trainees, covering both forensic and non-forensic treatment cases. The Staff Psychologist will also provide direct service by providing counseling services to a highly-diverse caseload of general service referrals and court-ordered clients.

Principle Duties:
Clinical supervision of masters-level trainees.
Determines appropriateness of referrals and level of treatment.
Provides therapeutic services such as individual, group and family psychotherapy using empirically based treatment interventions.
Provides clinical interventions for individuals, high-conflict couples, families, and children.
Communicates with attorneys, GALs, and court officials to provide case status.
Consults with assigned clinical program leads, other treatment providers, and consulting psychiatrists on details of cases and treatment plans.
Serves on training and supervision team and as member of Center’s compliance committee.
Documents outcomes and deliverables in a timely manner
Assists with the referral and intake process to enroll clients into services
Completes and maintains documentation in accordance with HIPPA and funding requirements. Assists with utilization and quality assurance reviews for clinical, legal, grant-related, and insurance billing compliance.
Contacts other social service agencies, schools, hospitals, courts, and health organizations to maintain continuity of care or to obtain case-related information
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must have experience and demonstrated knowledge in clinical work with families and children
Must have experience in individual, family, and group therapeutic modalities
Must have experience supervising graduate-level trainees
Must have knowledge of regulatory standards governing clinical care and operations
Must have strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Must have experience with diverse populations
Must be able to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to work as part of a coordinated team
Must be able to multi-task at a high level
Position Qualifications:
Masters-level degree in counseling or social work.
Must be currently licensed as an LCPC, LCSW, or Psychologist in Illinois or on path to be licensed in Illinois via license transfer from another state.

Compensation & BenefitsThis opportunity is budgeted at $$54,000 – $57,000 annually base compensation. Additional compensation factors may impact total compensation.
