Position SummaryThe Center for Teaching and Learning Innovation (CTLI) at Michigan State university is seeking applicants for a Project /Event Coordinator to oversee client intake process execution for CTLI teams, plan and execute CTLI events and event communications, manage the facility as a shared office space, public service access point, and meeting/event center, and provide administrative support to CTLI leadership team and CTLI staff. Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibility for the Work of Others:Supervision of student employees.Standard office environment. The job involves sitting, viewing a computer screen and/or word processing, spreadsheet development, and lifting up to 50lbs to move event supplies and furniture. The ability to work on-campus in the assigned space is critical to success of position.Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge equivalent to that which would normally be acquired in a four year college degree in Public Relations, Communications, Business or in an area related to the work being performed; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible and expansive work experience in a field related to the position including planning and managing special events; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. May require experience in word processing, database, spreadsheet, desktop publishing and/or presentation software. Position may require software specific to the operational activities of the employing unit. This position may require special licensing or certification in the field related to the area of employment.
