Summary of Key Responsibilities
* Together with the TA Coordinator ensure pre-joining contacts with candidates are professional and welcoming and that the monthly onboarding meetings are well planned
* Onboarding administration and execution – including the new starter process ensuring correct information transfer to payroll and employee benefit information administration
* Offboarding administration and execution – ensuring all internal and external offboarding steps are completed in an accurate and timely manner, including ensuring benefit providers are notified of people leaving the scheme
* Maintaining compliant and accurate employee files and managing this through in country office coordinators
* Support to benefits processes – e.g. support the planning and management of the regional wellness week
* Support to HR BPs with Employment agreement preparation in select countries
* Other projects across the broad remit of business focused HR
* Support to the HR team in contracting with external providers and managing the purchase order and payment processes
* Co-ordinate the payroll submission from HR to Payroll e.g. new starters, leavers, employee changes, benefits etc. on a country level
* As such, this individual should be highly skilled at working within a matrix environment and has demonstrated and exceptional skills in owning and driving to conclusion activities that involve multiple stakeholders
Operational/Professional/Business
* Partner and cooperate closely with the HR team in the region
* Contribute to business effectiveness by delivering flawless and responsive HR support
* Establish a relationship of trust with the HR team locally and in the US as well as the Office managers and coordinators across the region. Work with finance and other stakeholders in a professional and proactive manner
* Support the delivery of orientation and learning interventions delivered to employees and leaders within the region
* Understand relevant data sources and analyze information, working alongside the team and particularly International Total Rewards and the International HR analyst and project manager
Relationship
* Ensure excellent communications within the HR team and be mindful of employee and manager engagement in the work we do
* Maintain close contact with the International HR team, the broader Global HR team, Regional Office managers. Finance, payroll and other key stakeholders to ensure understanding of priorities and alignment on actions
Innovation
* Review and benchmark the internal and external environment to improve the HR practice and initiatives to enhance overall business performance
* Communicate and share learning across functions to facilitate continuous improvement
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in HR related area required
* HR experience in Japanese market
* Proven track record of delivering quality through to completion and attention to detail
* Experience in influencing without authority and stakeholder engagement
* Strong support to the HR team, Compensation & Benefits and other HR specialty areas to enable creative HR programs and solutions
* Excellent execution skills and strong attention to detail
* Bio tech or Pharma Experience preferred or experience in a dynamic, high growth environment
* Strong, collaborative, team orientation
* Strong English Skills
