Under the direction of the Director, Human Resource Services, the HR Administrator at Operations and Real Estate Partnerships (OREP) provides a range of support in regards to the recruitment project initiatives at OREP, including the Professional Experience Program (OREP PEP).
The HR Administrator will also provide support on special projects around Equity and Diversity initiatives at OREP. Projects include: (a) researching, developing and recommending tools in support of improved Human Resources practices, (b) providing support in the development of initiatives and resources related to core OREP HR service offerings including recruitment, onboarding, training and labour relations(c) providing support on training initiatives within OREP, (d) research and analyses on a wide variety of issues and topics, and (e) providing support on a range of equity and diversity staff and leadership training; awards and organizational change initiatives.
The HR Administrator , OREP will assist with and advancing projects, and undertake initiatives and daily activities within the Division of Human Resources and Equity that require knowledge of confidential information impacting staff in all employee groups. The role of the HR Administrator, OREP will continue to evolve and the individual must be willing to respond to the given priorities of the day and be willing to work cooperatively in a challenging and dynamic environment.
This internship is intended to be both educational and practical. In this position, the incumbent will learn how to apply skills acquired through pursuit of related a post-secondary education in a professional setting. The incumbent will gain a better understanding of the role that Human Resources can play in a broader public sector organization, and will gain practical experience in the area of Human Resources.
