Job Description Summary:
DEFINITION
Under the supervision of the Director of Student Life, the Student Life Coordinator plans,
organizes, coordinates, and implements creative programs and activities that meet the needs of
Ohlone’s diverse student body. The Student Life Coordinator enhances the growth and
development of all students by providing social, cultural, recreational, and educational
opportunities for all students to engage with the campus and the community. This position will
directly Advise the Associated Students of Ohlone College, along with the Inter-Club Council.
The Student Life Coordinator will also collaborate with the surrounding community to advance
efforts to support students with access to holistic resources, including basic needs.

Any combination equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in a field related to student services and/or 3years of experience in a related field
AND
Must have evidence of responsiveness to and understanding of the diverse academic,
socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds
of community college employees and students, as these factors relate to the need for equity-minded practices.

This position requires physical abilities needed to work in a standard office setting, including but not limited to: standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods; occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and twisting; occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling light and moderate amounts of weight; operating office equipment which may require repeated fine motor skills (e.g.: keyboard use); and the ability to communicate in written and verbal forms.
