About Housing & Residential Education
The Housing and Residential Education (HRE) staff at the University of Denver provides housing and support services for 2900+ students living within University housing. Housing and Residential Education strives for a community that supports academic achievement and success, personal growth and development, a respectful and inclusive environment which promotes diversity, promotes community service, and fosters leadership development and an engaged staff and student.
Position Summary
The Associate Director of Residential Education serves as a member of Housing and Residential Educations leadership team and directly reports to the Senior Associate Director of Residential Education. The Associate Director is responsible for implementing a comprehensive residential life education program, with primary oversight of community development in DUs Residence Halls and Apartments, recruitment and development of professional staff, and student behavioral initiatives for the residential life program.
The Associate Director is responsible for the direct supervision, training, and evaluation of two (2) Assistant Directors, six (6) Resident Directors, seven (7) Graduate Resident Directors, and over 100 student staff. In addition to the essential duties listed, the AD helps execute an overall vision and leadership in the development of a robust academic and social environment for residents, while creating and maintaining a high level of safety, security, and well-being for all residents.

Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. with some on-call evenings and weekends.
In accordance with the Universitys flexible work policy, this position is eligible to be considered for partial remote work. Further details regarding this plan will be determined with the hiring manager and are dependent on the division and team specific needs.

The salary grade for the position is 10.
Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is $65,000 – $68,000.
The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidates sex or any other protected status.
