Skidmore College Hiring for Media Services Technician at Saratoga Springs, NY Full Time

The Media Services Technician plays a diverse and intricate role in the operations of Media Services. Includes high priority response to classroom needs; assisting faculty, troubleshooting AV issues, and assisting with additional needs. This role resides in the Media Lab and is responsible for setting up and operating AV equipment for lectures and campus events. This position requires knowledge of Extron software and basic understanding of networks. The position requires excellent communication skills and a passion for teamwork. This position schedules and performs routine maintenance on equipment, and participates in the installation, and continuous improvement of the audiovisual infrastructure across the Skidmore Campus. 

Responsibilities:

Includes high priority response to classroom needs; assisting faculty, troubleshooting AV issues, and assisting with additional needs. This role resides in the Media Lab and is responsible for setting up and operating AV equipment for lectures and campus events. 

This position schedules and performs routine maintenance on equipment, and participates in the installation, and continuous improvement of the audiovisual infrastructure across the Skidmore Campus. 

Education:

Associates Degree in IT or related field is preferred.

Experience:

•  High degree of technical knowledge of AV hardware, software and Extron control systems; 
•  Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
•  Knowledge of Extron software and basic understanding of networks;
•  Excellent communication skills and a passion for teamwork.
