Event Support Coordinator

Posting Summary:
Serve as a critical point of event service delivery for the Dudley H. Davis Center. Oversee scheduling, planning, and delivery of events. Direct on-site event operations working collaboratively with student and professional service providers, UVM Dining, Custodial Services, Police Services, and other campus partners. Directly supervise a production team of approximately 15-20 student employees and provide functional oversight to the student building manager and technical teams as needed. Actively engage in learning and practicing principles of social justice and inclusion, environmental sustainability and delivering great customer experiences. Report to the Associate Director for Davis Center Operations & Events.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience):
Bachelor’s degree and one to three years related experience in event management, hospitality or other similar related service industry required. Attention to detail, organizational and negotiation skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a degree of adaptability based on need required. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team required. Effective interpersonal skills and dedication to customer service required. Demonstrated commitment diversity, social justice, environmental stewardship and fostering a collaborative multicultural environment required.
Desirable Qualifications:
Experience with scheduling software such as Event Management Systems (EMS) and diagramming software packages highly desirable. Experience with supervising teams highly desirable.
