Reports to: Director of Undergraduate Admissions Department: Enrollment Management
The Admissions Office seeks a dynamic and industrious Admissions Counselor/Assistant Director of Admissions to work as a member of the Admissions staff to recruit prospective students for Manhattan College’s undergraduate programs. Responsibilities include managing assigned travel territories (primarily in the Tri-State region) through extensive travel for approximately 12 weeks in the fall and 8 weeks in the spring by visiting high schools and community organizations, and attending college fairs. Flexibility, willingness to travel, and to work evenings and weekends are a must.
Other responsibilities include a strong knowledge and understanding of Manhattan College academic programs, admissions policies and procedures. Participation in campus recruitment events, ability to build relationships and cultivate inquiries through to enrolled students, and evaluating undergraduate applications for admission are key responsibilities of the position. The Admissions Counselor/Assistant Director of Admissions will also work closely with members of the Financial Aid staff to provide pertinent information to families applying for need and merit based financial aid.
